On May 29, 1993, at The Eldred Methodist Church, he married Marcheta L. Strotman, who survived him. He was a 1947 graduate of Eldred High School and later attended St. Bonaventure University in Allegany, NY. He began his career in banking at The First National Bank of Eldred where he served for many years before it merged with Hamlin Bank. He served as head teller and loan officer, and retired in 1991 as the Eldred branch manager. Llewellyn was a 50 year member of The Eldred Methodist Church, where he was active in the choir and a vocalist at many weddings and funerals. He was a member of the United Methodist Church Men, a lay leader, vice chairperson of the Administrative Council, a 50 year member of the Eldred Masonic Lodge 560, past chaplain of the Keystone Chapter 2 of the Order of the Eastern Star of Duke Center. Llewellyn was a 50 year member of the Coudersport (PA) Consistory, a 50 year member of the Zem Zem Shriners Temple of Erie (PA), a past member and past president of the Eldred Rotary Club and the McKean County American Red Cross Society, a past member of the McKean County Planning Commission, past member of the Eldred Sewage Authority, past member of the Eldred Borough Council, the advisory board of Hamlin Bank and a member of the S.H.A.R.K.S. model airplane flying club. At the time of his death he was survived by his wife, Marcheta: Two stepsons, James (Rosemarie) Lidstone of Lansdowne and John (Sharon) Lidstone of Glenolden along with a stepdaughter, Diane Saccomandi.
