GREENSBORO - Mrs. Ruth B. Cox, 84, of Greensboro, passed away peacefully from this life on Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Hospice of the Piedmont, surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday June 8, at Glenwood Friends Meeting, on Old Chapman Road, in Greensboro. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Born July 4, 1923, in Guilford County, to the late George A. Bolton and Willie Ann Senn, Ruth was a member of Glenwood Friends Meeting. She retired from Wrangler in 1989 and lived life to the fullest. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lewis Cox; her four brothers; and her two sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, John Hobbs and (Cindy Radcliffe) of Pleasant Garden; daughter, Sandy Buchanan and husband, Jim of Trinity; grandchildren, Johnston Hobbs of Indiana, Ann Aust and husband, Mark of Winston-Salem, Joe Hobbs and wife, Mandy of Brown Summit, and Wendy Dolesh and husband, David of Kernersville; great-grandchildren, Kate and Gray Aust, Tanner and Avery Hobbs, and Chloe and Dawson Dolesh; along with several nieces and nephews.
