Annie called him Zenos. In her history she states how he would get after the older children and at times his father if they did not do what mother said. He would sit and rock his baby brother Thomas Benjamin and sing to him, while Annie did chores. When some became sick, he sat nearby and
George was the first child sick, Thom was sick, Fannie Charrlotte was sick.
"One day Zenos was playing by the cobord and Thom staped on his finger mashed it I tuck him tended it and gave him his comfort that was the storrie of the book of Mormon to quiet him but he got sick rite a way and the first night he said me die ma ma died ma till I answered him it made me feel aful but he was so pleasant and good when I would be shewing flys of him he would say put the Mosquiter bar on me and sat down so you wont get tired than say shew flys ma and than read my book and that was his last words to me he was sick 4 weeks I done all I could and got all the help I could and give all the docters Medicen but no changes just went of at 15 minits to eight the 19 of November 1894 and for a hour or more Thom acted so I thought I would have to loose them both one day as I sat by my sick boy I seen a lite on the fence as large as a pillow or something a bought that and so pure I could not discribe and I watched it pass away when a nother something like it only not as large followed and passed of when sister sedwicks come in I told her she said prepar for the worst it was near sundown I new I had to loose one of my children but it seemed at last like I would rather lit all 4 of the others as Zenos go for he was such a loving child and it was a long time befour I could consoll my self I often would say why did I half to loos that sweet boy the night he lay out joe and Eph was to sat up but they would go rite to sleep as soon as they come and every one a bed I had to set up and watch my own sweet child white and cold Thom went to bed I had bin up 9 weeks nearly all the time night and day so at 5 oclock I had to walk the floor to keep a wake I was tired and worn out I thought it hard not 2 years since I had buried one a lone but this time quite a few come it filled my little house and the hymns that was sung seamed nice to me in a time like that my little rose bud was one and weep not for him was a nother Fannie was sick with the same fever but not so bad still I had to sit under her all the time and my little 4 months old baby in the cradle by my side to tend. No one could do a thing with them I had 13 teen weeks of not rest...."""

The sentence structure of this history makes this a difficult read. 47 pages and it seems as if the entire thing is 1 paragraph BUT it is 47 pages of really good information.
