OBITUARY
Funeral services for Milford Vernon Paige, 72, were held Monday, September 21st at the United Methodist Church in Presho.
Reverend John Jacoway officiated with Barb Burger, organist, accompanying Pauline Severin, soloist.
Casket bearers included Raymond Moore, Ronald Moore, Lyle Moore, Melvin Paige, Vernon Paige and Thomas Paige.
Rex Brown served as usher. Ms. Donald Johnson was in charge of the register book and memorials.
Burial was in the Presho cemetery with Hofmeister Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Milford Vernon Paige was born to David and Della Paige at Garden City, S.D. on August 24, 1908.
Milford came from a family of six children, two girls and four boys. He moved to Lyman County with two older sisters and one brother in the fall of 1909.
He attended grade school at the rural Chamberlain School which was just north of the home place. He continued his education at the Presho High School and graduated from Presho High in 1928.
After graduation, he continued to farm on the home place with his parents and his brothers. during this time he was active on the Grouse Township School Board and served as supervisor on the Grouse Township Board.
Milford will always be remembered for his involvement in the Communities of Presho and Kennebec.
He is survived by two brothers, Harold and Donald both of Kennebec, many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two older sisters and one older brother.
