Mrs. Phoebe Saunders Ackley, 47, of 177 Pleasantview avenue, wife of Franklin E Ackley, Sr, died last night at 11:45 o'clock in her home. Dr Gerald Straus, City Ambulance physician said death was due to natural causes.
Services will take place Monday in the Robert E. Hennessy funeral home, 2936 Main Street at a time to be announced. The Rev John Jay Johnson, rector of Clavary Episcopal church will officiate and burial will be in the Park cemetery.
Mrs. Ackley was a native and lifelong resident of Bridgeport.
Also surviving are five sons, John F., Arthur A., Harry W., and Franklyn E. Ackley Jr., all of Bridgeport, and Glenn M. Ackley of Derby; a sister, Mrs Ethel Pederson, of Fairfield; five brothers, Robert Saunders, of Bridgeport; Horton, of Newtown; Alfred of Coudersport, Pa., Edward S., Messena, N. Y., and Arthur S. Saunders, of Derby, and several nieces and nephews.
