Harry L. Bennett, 82, of Taylorville, IL died at 5:31 am Tuesday, November 08, 2005 at St. Vincent Memorial Hospital, Taylorville, IL. He was born January 14, 1923 in Shelby County, IL the son of Jacob Lester and Hulda Lantz Bennett. On July 2, 1953 he married Corena Allison in Moweaqua, IL. Mr. Bennett retired from Caterpillar in 1988 after 22 years of service. He was a member of United Auto Workers.
Surviving are his wife, Corena Bennett of Taylorville, Daughters: Linnae Buesinger and husband Henry of Morrisonville and LeAnn Bennett of Taylorville and Linda Stork and husband Dan of Melbourne, FL. Brother: Herman Franklin Bennett of Shelbina, MO. Grandchildren: Kristy Buesinger and Todd Buesinger both of Morrisonville, IL, Patrick Stork and wife Michelle of Palm Bay, FL, Michael Stork and wife Carla of Malabar, FL and Daniele Shearer and husband Omar James of Mims, FL and 6 Great Grandchildren: Kayla Stork, Kelsie Stork and Hope Stork all of Palm Bay, FL, Max Stork of Malabar, FL and Faith Shearer and Meadow Shearer both of Mims, FL.
Private Graveside Services will be held Friday, November 11, 2005 at 1:00 pm at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL. There will be no visitation. McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL is in charge of arrangements.
