Mr. Kelso, a native of Calloway County, was a retired farmer. He was a former director on the Murray-Calloway County Fair board. He was a mule show exhibitor and judge, and provided wagon rides for parades and other community functions.
Mr. Kelso was an Army veteran of World War II and of the Church of Christ faith.
Surviving are his wife, Faye Nell Craig Kelso; one son, Johnny Kelso; three daughters, Judy Kelso, Janey Reynolds and Joy Doran; two sisters, Billie K. Hall and Bobbie Troutman; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. His parents were Ernest Lee Kelso and Luna Scherffius Kelso. His stepmother was Ruth Cochrum Kelso.
