He had been at Camp Lejeune for the past seven months after serving with the Marine Corps in Vietnam where he received the Vietnamese Expeditionary and National Defense Awards. He was also the recipient of the Purple Heart for wounds received in action there.
He is survived by his mother and a brother Richard both of Lewiston, ME.
