John Wagner, aged 82 years, whose death occurred at his home in Washington township, Creekside R. D. 2, at 8 a.m. Wednesday, was buried in St. John's Lutheran church cemetery, Sagamore, following services at 2 p.m. Saturday. The services were in charge of the Rev. Fred Steuber.
Mr. Wagner, who was a life-long and prominent resident of Washington township, passed away in the home of his son, David E. Wagner. The following other children survive: Frank R. Wagner, Mrs. F. A. Downey and Mrs. D. B. Carnahan, all of Washington township, and John Carnahan of Smicksburg. He was a brother of Mrs. Carrie Rairigh, of Smithsburg. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. His wife died six years ago.
