Sue Ann Miland, age 67 of Eleva, WI passed away peacefully on Friday November 29, 2013 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, WI. She was born on June 12, 1946 in Black River Falls, WI. a daughter of John and Ione (Gunderson) Radcliff. She attended and graduated from Eleva-Strum High School with the class of 1964. On December 26, 1964, Sue was united in marriage to Donald L. Miland at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Independence, WI. To this loving union four children were born. Sue was a deoted mother and stayed at home to raise her children. After raising her children, she was employed at the former Robbes IGA in Eleva. Following its closing Sue began a long career at United Bank, retiring in January of 2013.
Sue was a long time faithful member of Eleva Lutheran Church, and active Sunday School teacher who enjoyed reading at Sunday services. Sue loved crossword puzzles, word searches and she was an avid reader. Her family will remember her ability to finish a novel in just two days. She always thought a busy member was a healthy mind. Sue's family remember her for her "wealth of knowledge" about trivial things.
Sue always put the needs and concerns of others before her own. Her children will remember her as the "Classic Mom", even the friends of her children called her Mom. Sue will be deeply and dearly missed by her husband of 49 years, Don of Eleva, five children Jodi, (Jerry) Gargulak of Ringle, WI, Teddy of Eleva, Todd (Melissa) of Mosinee, WI.; Tim of Eleva and Tommy Aiger of Altoona. her eight precious grandchildren, Hannah and Matthew Gargullak, Rusti and Karli Miland, Chloe and Eli Miland, and Garret and Wyatt Miland, Three sisters Karen (Keith) Rocksvold of Prairie du Chein, Kathie Radcliff of Eden Prairie, MN amd Lisa (Tom) Lorenz of Morris, MN, one brother Jack (Dianne) Radcliff of Viiroqua, WI , and also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Besides her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her daughter in-law Carol, wife of her son Tim.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Dec 4 at 11:00 AM at Eleva Lutheran Cchurch with Pastor Kermit Solem officiating, interment will follow at Eleva Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday Dec 3 from 4 PM until 7PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Mondovi chapel and again on Wednesday one hour prior tro the service.
