He was a graduate of Jordan Grammar School and before entering the service had been employed at the Clark Shoe Co.
He was based at Naval Air Station Brunswick with VP-23 and was deployment overseas. He died due to a plane crash in Italy. He was to have completed his enlistment with the Navy in January.
He is survived by his mother; a sister Mrs Lionel Mathieu of Lewiston, ME; a brother Richard with the U. S. Air Force in Germany; two half brothers Maurice and Paul Drouin and a half sister Miss Diane Drouin all of Lewiston, ME.
He is on eternal patrol.
