Ann Cecelia Nielsen was the daughter of Niels and Marne LUELLA (Nelson) Nielsen. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Jacksonville on 13 April 1924.

During her single adult life, Ann taught rural school, as documented in the 1930 U.S. Census.

Ann married Arthur Christensen 3 August 1932 in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Jacksonville, Shelby County, Iowa. To this union, five sons and one daughter were born: Niel, Ronald, Gary, Judy, Lynn, and Randy. They farmed near Jacksonville until 1950 when they moved to a farm near Audubon. She was an active member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon since 12 March 1950. She died at St. Anthony's Hospital in Carroll on Monday, 8 April, 1968. Interment was in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Audubon, Iowa.

Survivors: Husband-Art; 5 Sons: Niel of Harlan; Ronald, Gary and Randy all of Audubon; & Lynn of Greely, CO; 1 Daughter: Judy (Mrs. Roger) Alexander. 16 grandchildren.
