Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the Nazarene church for Mrs. Mary Lucy URTON, 57 years old, who died Sunday morning at the home of her niece, Mrs. Travis FLOWERS, 21 miles southwest of Perryton.

She had lived in the Flowers home for the past two months. She was a resident of Portales, N. M.

Rev. Buford Burgner, pastor of the local Nazarene church, conducted the final rites.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. O. B. SHERMAN, Portales; a son, Jason G. URTON, Portales; three brothers, A. D. CLEMMER, Stratford, Okla., Gus CLEMMER, Lodi, Calif., and Frank CLEMMER, Sepulveda, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. R. S. ROBERTS, and Mrs. Cassie READ, both of Perryton, Mrs. August DENKER, Butler, Okla., and Mrs. J. E. TYRA, Willow, Okla., and four grandchildren.

Mary Lucy URTON, the 13th child of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. CLEMMER, was born December 28, 1983 at Putnam, Texas. She was converted at the age of11, and united with the Methodist Church. On Dec. 26, 1924 she was united in marriage with William J. UNDERWOOD. To this union twins were born – Kathryn B. and Tollie Lee. In December, 1928, Bill, as her husband was known, died and two months later Tollie Lee depated this life. On July 23, 1933 she was united in marriage with Benjamin W. URTON who also preceded her in death, departing this life January 20, 1942 at Portales, New Mexico. Since that time she had made her home most of the time in Portales.

Mrs. URTON was sanctified in 1945 at the Church of the Nazarene in Perryton, Texas while living here and while she was working for Dr. Ryan. She later joined the Church of the Nazarene at Portales after moving there. She enjoyed all phases of church work, especially the work with young people. She was a great lover of music and enjoyed playing the piano and singing.

She was placed beside her first husband in the Willow, Oklahoma cemetery.
