Funeral Services for Bruce Lawrence Paul will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church in Gardner with Bro. Dwayne Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Baptist Cemetery, Gardner, under the direction of John Kramer & Son.
Bruce Lawrence Paul, age 62, of Gardner, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Rayford Paul and Mattie Nell Ingraham Paul.
Bruce spent much of his life as a Civil Servant and retired from the Alexandria Fire Department. He also owned and operated Koblen's Jewelry in Alexandria. Bruce was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, and passed his love for the outdoors down to his children and grandchildren. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, was very proud of his Native American heritage, and was a member of the Yellow Pine Masonic Lodge in Oakdale. Bruce will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, husband, and friend.
He is lovingly survived by his children; Brodie Lawrence Paul and wife Erica Michelle Paul, Tamara Nicole Campbell and husband Kamen Lee Campbell, and Derek Odell Paul and wife Morgan Leayn Paul; his sister, Debbie Annette Beckham and husband Eddie Martin Beckham; his grandchildren, Kelcie Brianna Paul, Madison Claire Paul, and Lorelei Katherine Paul; his nephew and niece, Rayford Jerome Andries and Melissa LeeAnn Beckham; and the mother of his children, Katherine Dauzat Paul.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2013 and from 8:30 a.m. until 9:20 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2013 at John Kramer & Son.
