The community was greatly shocked Wednesday morning on learning that Mrs. C.F. Willman had passed away about midnight Tuesday night. Mr. Willman had returned from the gas station about nine o’clock, and he and Mrs. Willman sat on the front porch for an hour before retiring. She was taken with a heart attack and died after a short period of semi-consciousness, close to midnight. The members of the family were at once notified and arrived the next morning. Funeral arrangements had not been made at the time this item is printed.

Ellen Elizabeth Hayden, daughter of Samuel and Ann Snook Hayden, was born at Rush Creek, Crawford County, Wis., Nov. 24, 1869, one of a family of twelve children, eight girls and four boys, one preceding her in death. She grew to young womanhood in her home community, and on May 27, 1894, was united in holy wedlock at Milwaukee, Wis., to Mr. C.F. Willman of Fillmore Co., Minn. Four children were born to this happy union, namely: Robert F. of Altoona, Chester A., George, and Mrs. Florence Bigelow, whose home are in Humbird (Clark Co., Wis.). The family moved to this village Mar. 26, 1901, where she resided until the time of her call to her Eternal Home, on May 28, 1929, at the age of 59 years, 6 months and 4 days.

Mourning the death of a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother, are the husband, her four children, and three grandchildren. Surviving also are six sisters: Mrs. Addie Carlin, Livelong, Canada; Mrs. Rose Warren, Mrs. Etta Paulson, Desoto; Mrs. Emma Jones, Britton, S.D.; Mrs. Louise Ashbury, Warrens; Mrs. Mary Faye, Davenport, Iowa; and four brothers: Will Hayden, Thompson, Canada; Robert, Hinsdale, Mont.; Bert, Napoleon, N.D.; Jesse, Viroqua.
