Lewis Erwin Elam ...Worked for the Federal Govt.Postal Service and Retired...Served in WW2 In 2 Different Services.. Army and merchant marine ( PT style Ship ) ...After returning from WW2 He met and married His One and only wife of 49 years Edna Marian McWhorter...together they had 7 children...Lewis Erwin Elam Jr., Steven Edwin Elam, Susan Rene Elam, Anthony Edward Elam, Phillip Eric Elam, Edra Evet Elam, Franklin Erin Elam...and from these children came numerous Grandchildren, Greatgrandchlidren, Greatgreatgrandchildren...about +60 and counting...He died mowing grass he was independent till the end...71yrs 3 m 21d...He went to James Bowie Elementary, Adamson High School, SMU...there he went to college with Doak Walker, Aron Spelling, and other great well known people of that era...His wife Edna had Marsalis Ave.that leads to Laurel Land paved through a petition she had started...he was a Great Man...
