Annette Schmidt Gribble, 98, Sarasota, died Aug. 22, 2003.

She was born Feb. 13, 1905, in Milwaukee and came to Sarasota 24 years ago from Madison, Wis. She was a homemaker and had been a child welfare worker in Wisconsin for 10 years. She graduated in 1927 from Marquette University. She was a member of Pine Shores Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include sons Frank M. of Madison, John E. of Arena, Wis., and Robert T. of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters Alice Gee and Marilyn Malloy, both of Milwaukee, and Violet Guepe of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at Pine Shores Presbyterian Church. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Gulf Gate Chapel, is in charge.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 1750 17th St., Suite A, Sarasota, FL 34234.
