Mr. Albert Cleveland Maxwell, 67, of Canon, GA passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Maxwell was born in Bowman, GA on March 16, 1946, son of the late Doyt Broadus Maxwell and the late Emma Irene David Maxwell. He was an electrician having worked with Davis Electrical in Greenville, SC for over 25 years and was also retired from J & J Consumer Products. Mr. Maxwell was a member of the Canon United Methodist Church where he served as a Trustee and was a member of the Bowersville Masonic Lodge #595.
Survivors include his wife Gail Hill Maxwell of Canon, GA; daughters, Michelle Freeman of Canon, GA, Marie Tate of Bowman, GA and Mandy Tate also of Bowman, GA; six grandchildren, Branden, Max, Bailey, Anna, Sean and Breann; brothers, Terry Allen Maxwell of Bowman, GA; sister, Linda Maxwell Rice of Bowman, GA.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Maxwell was preceded in death by three brothers, David Winston Maxwell, Doyt Stanley Maxwell and Nathaniel Wayne Maxwell; one sister, Gail Maxwell Mann.
Funeral services for Mr. Maxwell will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2013, at the Canon United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Clarke and Dr. Wade Bridges officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakview Cemetery in Canon, GA with Masonic Rites.
The family will receive friends at Canon United Methodist Church from 2:30 p.m. until funeral hour on Sunday afternoon. The family is at the home.
Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to the Canon United Methodist Church (Roof Replacement Fund), c/o Louise Bennett, P.O. Box 51, Canon, GA 30520.
