Francis James Genusa, Jr.

Francis James Genusa, Jr., was born in Monroe, LA on July 24, 1963 and passed away on December 13, 2013. Visitation will begin at 4:30 P.M. followed by a Rosary at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 15, 2013 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, LA. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Jesus the Good Shepherd. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.

Francis was owner of Genusa's Restaurant, excellent chef, loving husband, father, son, brother and loyal friend. He was a devout Catholic, had a generous heart, compassionate soul, and an avid golfer. He was a graduate of St Frederick, Class of 1981. Francis is survived by his parents, Francis and Cherry Genusa, Sr.; his loving wife, Carrie Gladney Genusa; one daughter, Ashley Genusa; one son; Francis James Genusa III; two sisters; Ann Genusa Williamson and Rachel Genusa Dickey; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, god children and a family of friends who loved him immensely and will miss him always.

The family would like to extend a special thank you for love, care, and support to Patricia Strickland, Diana Breen and the entire family at Genusa's along with Father Joe Puthupally and Father Job Scaria.

To all of the family and loyal patrons and dear friends of Genusa's, thank you for weathering the storm with us. A special thanks also to Dr. Michael McCormick, Dr. David Raines, Dr. Duke McHugh, Dr. L. Wayne Johnson, the entire Willis Knighton Transplant team, Dr. Robert McMillan, Dr. Gazi Zibari, Dr. David Dies, Dr. Ashok Kompelli, Terri Creamer, R.N., and his nurses at Willis Knighton who are Micah, Anne, and Sam for giving him the best care possible.

Pallbearers will be Fred Southerland, Thomas Fields, Paul Douglas, Mark Adams, Mike Shell, Bob Cooper, and Kemp Smith.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Jesus the Good Shepherd School, St. Frederick High School, and The Men's ACTS Group.
