Eads, Edith Mae, 98, of Valrico entered into eternal rest on December 13, 2013. She was born in April of 1915 in Boonesboro, KY. to James and Martha Etta Shouse. On her 19th birthday she traveled to Norwood, OH. where she met her first husband Allen Lawrence Sears and they married on August 3, 1935. They had 3 children Rosetta Elizabeth, Richard Allen, Mary Lou, and she had the privilege of being a step-mother to Russell D. Phelps. This union blessed them with 11 grandchildren David Ray Bargo, Robert Lawrence Bargo, Gregory Dwayne Sears, Teresa Runa Noel, Richard Allen Sears, Jr., Joyce Lynn Long, John Lawrence Sears, Mark Andrew Bradley, Connie Enix, Gary Russell Phelps, and James Allen Phelps. She was preceded in death by her first husband Allen. On March 27, 1971 she married her second husband Elza Eads and became step-mother of 4 children Ronald, Robert, and William Eads and Jeanne Eads Burhenn. In 1990 Edith moved from Milford, Ohio to Valrico, Florida. She was preceded in death by her second husband Elza; son Richard, son-in-law James Bargo, and 2 step-sons Russell Phelps and Ronald Eads. She is survived by her 2 daughters Rosetta Bargo and Mary Lou Bradley both of the Tampa Bay area in Fl.; 2 daughters-in-law Ruth Sears of Ocala, Fl. and Evadean Phelps of Latonia, KY.; 2 step-children Robert Eads and Jeanne Burhann (Marvin); and 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 16 great- great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, December 18 from 6 - 7:00 P.M. at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 CR 39 S., Plant City.
