Jeanetha Abbott age 89, of DeSoto, Missouri passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at Woodland Manor Nursing Center in Arnold, Missouri. She was born October 26, 1924 in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of the late Margaret (nee Shoppe) and Walter Short.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Abbott, Sr., a son Robert E. Abbott, Jr. and a daughter Susan Jean Abbott.
She is survived by a daughter Maemarie "Mae" Cox and husband Harry of DeSoto, a son Walter Abbott and wife Linda of Florissant, Missouri, brothers Walter "Junior" Short of Chesterfield, Missouri and James "Jimmy" Short of St. Charles, Missouri, 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Interment in Valhalla Cemetery. Memorials in her memory are preferred to the Humane Society.
