Mrs. Bertha Herrmann

Colby – Funeral arrangement have not been completed for Mrs. Bertha Herrmann, 57, Colby, who died at her home Monday evening.
The body is reposing at the Lulloff Funeral Home. When the funeral is held, it will be at the Evangelical and Reformed Church with the Rev. F. P. Puhlmann officiating. Burial will be made in the Colby cemetery.
Mrs. Herrmann, nee Bertha Ebert, was born Sept. 6, 1893, in the Town of Green Grove. Her marriage to Oscar Hermann took place Dec. 18, 1917, in Colby. Since that time they had lived on a farm there. Mr. Herrmann died May 27, 1947.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Ruth) Ruprich, Dorchester; and Mrs. Royal (Irene) Awe, Colby; three sons, Edward and Ken, at home; and Clinton, at Shannon, Ill.; two grandchildren; two brothers, Walter, Loyal; and Herman Dover, Minn.; and Mrs. Ida Horn, Greenwood.

Herrmann Rites

Colby – Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Herrmann, who died Monday, were held Thursday afternoon at the First Evangelical and Reformed Church, with the Rev. F. P. Puhlmann officiating. Burial was made in the Colby cemetery.
Pallbearers were all nephews of the deceased, Richard, Glenn, and Alphonse Herrmann, Harold and Glenn Horn, and Alfred Schmidt.
Mrs. Adolph Wessel, Mrs. Harold Horn, Mrs. Alphonse Herrmann, Mrs. Harold Van Rooy, Mrs. Eugene Blair, and Miss Lois Ebert were in charge of floral arrangements.
Woodrow Tesmer sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "The Old Rugged Cross."
Out-of town relatives and friends present for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Herrmann, and Mrs. Arthur Erbsen, Shannon, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Ruprich and son, Dorchester: Mrs. Ida Horn and son, Glenn, Greenwood; Mrs. and Mrs. Harold Horn, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Wessel, Mrs. Otto Horn, Mrs. Hubert Horn, Mrs. Edward Braun, Mrs. Ewald Schwartz, and Mrs. Clara Liebziet, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ebert and daughters, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Gene Blair, Spencer; Mrs. Harold Herrmann, and son, James, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Buettner, Riplinger; and Charles Schmidt and son, Alfred, Milan.
