MILFRED FLYNN "FRED" KELLERBY was born, June 23, 1923, near Prague in Lincoln County, Oklahoma, the eldest of five sons (four of which survived to maturity) born to Robert Flynn and Gertrude (Borders) Kellerby. He completed school in Prague, then served his country in the Army Air Corp during World War II, primarily being stationed near Oxford, England.

After returning from the service, he met Lueta Anderson, where she worked, at a local department store in Chandler. The two discovered that they were both active in the state CGYA youth group of their church and that they had many acquaintances in common. Their wedding, which took place on May 4, 1947, was scheduled during a state youth rally, which was hosted by the bride's home church at Stroud, Oklahoma.

Milfred and Lueta were the parents of four children: (1) Mary Jane, born in 1948, (2) Robert Lewis, 1950-1984, (3) Phillip Ray, born in 1954, and (4) Ruth Lynn, born in 1956.

Milfred was an ordained minister of the Churches of God and pastored churches in Oklahoma, Iowa, and Kansas.

After retiring from full-time ministry, he was a part-time employee of the Neodesha School System. He and his wife, Lueta, resided at Neodesha, Kansas, 1966 - 2003.

Milfred passed away at 3:10 A.M. on June 29, 2003, in Golden Keys Nursing Center in Neodesha, where he had been a resident for the preceding two years. He suffered a dehabilitating stroke in January of 2001, which left him partially paralyzed. Subsequent, massive strokes in March and June of 2003 contributed to his death, six days past his 80th birthday.
