Raymond O. Clutter, former Lilly official

EVANSVILLE; Ind. — Services for Raymond 0. Clutter, 73, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel and at 1:30 p.m. Monday in North United Methodist Church at Indianapolis.
Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after noon Saturday at the Evansville chapel and after 11:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Washington Park North Cemetery, Indianapolis.
Mr. Clutter, formerly of Indiana-polis, died Wednesday.
He had been assistant secretary and assistant general counsel of Eli Lilly and Co. and vice president of Eli Lilly International Corp. He also was assistant secretary of Elanco Prod¬ucts Co., a division of the pharma¬ceutical firm. He was secretary of Eli Lilly and Co. in Puerto Rico and a director of other international facili¬ties.
A graduate of DePauw University, he graduated from Northwestern Uni-versity School of Law in 1942.

Indiana and Indianapolis bar associa¬tions and was chairman of the Inter¬national Legal Committee of Pharma¬ceutical Manufacturers Association.
An intelligence officer in the Army Air Forces during World War II, he was a member of Indianapolis Muse-um of Art, Columbia Club and Rivi¬era Club at Indianapolis. He also was a member of Indiana State Chamber of Commerce and a charter member of Kiwanis Club vof North Indiana¬polis, where he served as president and secretary.
Mr. Clutter was a member of the church and had served on the board of trustees. He was a member of Indiana Area Board of Pastoral Care & Counseling of the Methodist Church and advisory council of Christian Theological Seminary.
He served on the founding board of Evansville Crisis Nursery and was a member of DePauw and Northwest-ern universities alumni associations, Delta Upsilon Fraternity and Phi Al-pha Delta.
In 1969, he was elected to the University of Evansville board of trustees and chairman of the board in 1975 and 1984. He became a life trustee in 1990.
Survivors — wife Annamargaret Chapman Clutter; son Dr. Robert E. Clutter; daughter Carol A. Gromley; brothers Clarence A Clutter; seven grandchildren.
