Shirley Marie Carver, age 86, of Douglas, GA passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Carver was born on March 8, 1930, in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Peter Hochadel and Ruth Ferrel Hochadel. Survivors include: her four sons, Richard Carver, Sr. of Douglas, GA, Kevin Carver of Warner Robins, GA, Robert Carver of Niagara Falls, NY, and James Carver of Niagara Falls, NY; brother, Robert Hochadel of Niagara Falls, NY; sister, Theresa Hochadel of Niagara Falls, NY; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by husband, Jed “Bud” Carver. Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Paul O’Connell officiating. Interment was in Satilla Memorial Gardens. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
