Roy Wesley Ransier, 74, Pasco, died Wednesday at his home.

He was born in La Center, and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1928.

He was a writeup man for Burlington Northern Railroad where he worked for 46 years retiring in 1976; member of Carmen of America; Burlington Northern Veterans Association; Railroad Senior Citizens; and former member of the Moose.

Survivors include wife Ameretta; daughters Sandra Sanquist, Tacoma, Jo Ann Strandring, Richland, Lucille Salazar, Kennewick, Hazel Rhode, Kennewick, Carolyn Ryman, Florida; sons Frank Laird and Louis Kendall, both San Francisco; brothers Lester Ransier, Goldendale, Norman Ransier, Camas; sisters Nettie Sheldon, Forest Grove, Ore., Alice Arnold, Florida, Etta Huttson, Mabton; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
