Mrs. William Habermann, 78, (photo) of the Town of Eaton, died Sunday morning at home following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Collins, with the Rev. Phillip Press officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Habermann was born Sept. 3, 1882, in West Prussia, Germany, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Jahnke. She came to the United States in infancy with her parents. She was married Nov. 24, 1904, to William Habermann at Oakfield, Wis. The family farmed in the Town of Eaton for many years.
She was a member of the St. John and St. James Evangelical Church of
Reedsville and later became a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church at Collins. She was a charter member of the Ladies Aid of that church. Her husband preceded her in death in 1947.

Surviving are four sons: the Rev. Elwood Haberman of Kimberly, William at home and Roland and Raymond of Rt. 4, Chilton; a sister, Mrs. Ida Geislhardt of Manitowoc and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Reedsville Funeral Home until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday when the casket will be moved to lie in state at the church.
