Howard L. "Son" Tanner, 79, of Cherokee, Ala., died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at Helen Keller Hospital.
He was a member of Riverton Methodist Church and was retired from Cherokee Agrichemical, formerly LeRoche Agrichemical, after 251/2 years of service. He was a member of Vertagreen Masonic Lodge #919 F&AM in Cherokee for 50 years.
The funeral services were scheduled for 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiating by Brother Bill Boley and Brother Dwight Rivers. Interment followed in Douthitt Cemetery. Pallbearers included Lowell Morgan, Jimmy Morgan, Edwin Kasmeier, Harold Riggs, David Donaldson and Royce Berryman.
