LAYTON – Laree Rowley, 78, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in Ogden, Utah.

Laree was born March 9, 1935 in the Logan LDS Hospital the daughter of LeRoy and Ivy Hansen Andersen. She was the only daughter. Laree was raised and educated in Richmond and graduated from North Cache High School in 1953, and attended Utah State for two years. She worked for Pet Milk as a payroll clerk for 14 years.

She married Alvin Spackman on August 3, 1962 in the Logan LDS Temple. They lived in Richmond and had two daughters, Wendy and Jacqueline.

In 1969 they moved to Layton, Utah where they spent many happy years together until Alvin passed away. While living there she worked at Mobile Mansion for 14 years then went to work at Hill Air Force Base until 1997. In 1996 she met and married Forrest L. Rowley.

Laree was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions, teaching primary, Secretary to Mutual and Relief Society, nursery leader and library worker.

While in her teens she loved to dance in the Gold and Green Balls. When Alvin was still alive she enjoyed going to the Temple. Mother was an exceptional homemaker and enjoyed preparing family dinners.

She is survived by husband Forrest Rowley, two daughters, Wendy (Clyde) Smith, Jackie (David) Horting, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and brother, Lowell (Rita) Andersen.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin, parents, three brothers Delose, Jess and Elwin Andersen.

Interment, Richmond City Cemetery.
