Richard Edwin Trapp, 67, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2007. He was a courageous warrior who fought valiantly through many illnesses. Dick was born October 20, 1939 to Arthur James and Edith Oberg Trapp in Mayfield, UT. He was one of five boys. He married the love of his life, Colleen Cain, on March 3, 1960 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Dick had many passions in his life including his work where he was the Vice President of Binex, Inc. and President of Hanex, Inc. He was a dedicated member of the LDS Church and an avid baseball fan. He loved science, history, reading, hunting and most of all spending time with his family. We will miss his radiant smile and warmth. He is survived by his wife, Colleen; five children: Rick (Susan), Michael, Mark (Cami), Phillip (Holly), and Kimberly (Stephen) Johnson; 12 grandchildren; his brothers: Bill (Alma), Gale (Shirley), Dale and Ed. Dick was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Rocky Mountain Hospice and especially to Heather for her tender care. Services will be held Tues., May 15, at 11:30 a.m. at the Glacial Park Ward, 2675 East Mount Jordan Rd. Friends may call Mon. from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S., and Tues. at the church one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the LDS Perpetual Education Fund.
