Dewey Dewayne Pippin, 92, Rogersville, passed away at 6:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in Missouri Veterans Home, Mount Vernon.
He was born July 16, 1921 in Christian County, Missouri the son of the late Roy and Hazel (Johns) Pippin of Sparta. He was united in marriage to Clad Philpot. She preceded him in death 1992. He then married Charlene Cave in 1993. She preceded him in death in 2011. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Dwight and a sister, Alvina.
Dewey served his country during WWII and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and Sparta Masonic Lodge. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to his large extended family.
He is survived by his two step-daughters, Ginny Wray and her husband Jim, and Verba Thomas and her husband Verle; a sister, Jaunita Hicks; ten step-grandchildren, twenty-seven step-great-grandchildren, six step-great-great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Doine Berman, and many other relatives and friends.
Burial, with full military honors, in Pembina Cemetery.
