Kerry Bruce Sayers, age 53, passed away peacefully, after a sudden illness, on Monday, December 16, surrounded by his family and friends.
Bruce was born on June 22, 1960 in Houston, Texas to Morell and Dorothy Lewis Sayers. Bruce graduated from Westbury High School in Houston and attended Houston Community College. He moved to the Dallas area in 1991 and then to Plano shortly after. He worked in the medical field for many years as a Registered Echocardiogram Technician.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Larry Keith Sayers. Bruce will be sadly missed by his wife, Judy, daughters Kelli, Jackie (Ruben) and Kristen (Victor) all of Plano, son James of Chicago, Illinois, grandchildren Carter and Jayden, sister Linda Sayers of Glen Flora, Texas, nephew Larry Keith Sayers, Jr. (Diane) of Grapevine, niece Kimberly Moomaw (Bob) of Bowling Green, Ohio, two great nieces, Cassi and Emily, also of Bowling Green, Ohio, and a host of friends and colleagues.
Bruce loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. In his spare time he enjoyed sports, antiquing, puzzles and his miniature dachshund, Becky.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 18 from 6 to 8 pm at Ted Dickey Funeral Home in Plano. Celebration of life service will be at 1 pm on Thursday, December 19, in the chapel at Ted Dickey Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Plano Mutual Cemetary.
