ZACHMEYER rites set

Lester ZACHMEYER, 72, Weatherford, Texas, died at his home Thursday (sic. Oct. 26, 1978). He had been in failing health since February. He had lived with his son, Paul, the past four years in Weatherford.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn Bergfalk officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The body will arrive at the funeral home late today and friends may call anytime Saturday.

The son of Barney and Annie (sic. Anna per her headstone inscription) DUKE ZACHMEYER, he was born Sept. 10, 1906 in Henry County. He was married to Mary MACY on Dec. 22, 1926. She died Oct. 6, 1967.

He was a farmer. Prior to moving to Texas he had resided on Route 4 since 1939.

He is survived by three sons and three daughters, Loretta KELLER, Fairfield, Paul ZACHMEYER, Weatherford, Texas, Richard ZACHMEYER, Morning Sun, Patricia ESSARY, Mabel ADLER and George ZACHMEYER, all of Fairfield.

He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two brothers, Elmer ZACHMEYER, Dodgeville and Mike ZACHMEYER, California.
