Thomas Edward Adams, "Thumb" was born on June 8, 1956 in Gallatin, Tennessee to Danny Jody Eugene Adams and Laura Bell Alexander Adams. He was the third of seven children born to this union. Thomas departed this life on Thursday, August 22, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Jody Eugene Adams, sister, Theresa Scott, and brother, Joseph Adams, Sr.
Thomas accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age. He joined First Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Shaw.
Thumb attended the Sumner County School System and graduated with the class of 1974. He enlisted in the United States Army after graduation and was honorably discharged in 1978. Thomas loved football and basketball. His hobbies included listening to good music, eating his mother's home cooking, and being surrounded by family and friends.
Thomas was one who never met a stranger. He was a kind soul, always full of fun and laughter.
