Joseph was a designer, art director, animator, and film director in New York for many years. He also taught film studies at local colleges and ran a small school for art design in New Jersey.
Joseph was a United States Marine who served in Korea, Vietnam and Panama with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Among his survivors, Joseph leaves four daughters, Lorian Tonna-Lamuniere of Bernardston, Andrea Segura of New Jersey, Erica Tonna, of New Jersey, and Adea Wood of Kentucky, a brother Edgar Tonna of Huntington, Long Island, a sister, Mary DeMasi of Hebron, CT, and six grandchildren.
A Memorial mass will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 11:00AM at Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Timothy J. Campoli, officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Greenfield.
