Ada was the daughter of Alden Alan Morang and Florence B. Morang, nee Glidden. Wife of George Franklin Purington from 1897 to 1908, when George passed very young from lung complications. Together they had five children, Richard B., Robert G., Olive, Lilla D., and Winona Purington. After Georges death, Ada remarried to Walter Campbell, and between them they had three children Gilbert, Alden, and Affa.

Ada was always glad to see family in her later years, and always had a story to tell. I used to love to sit and talk to her about my great grandfather George Franklin, or to stories of my grandfather, Richard Blaisdell growing up. I also remember her as giving the best hugs.....

Ada is a direct descendent of Pierre Morin, which is the family origin of Morang, who came to North America from France in the mid 1600's. The name changed from Morin to Morang around the mid 1700's to the early 1800's. Pierre and his family lived in what is now Nova Scotia, before his grandsons and great grandsons eventually started moving south into Maine.

When I find the grave of George Franklin Purington, I will then be able to add her other children as well as her first husband George.
