Marinus, son of Christian Peter and Annie Sorenson Beauregard was born at Nalberg, Denmark, February 12, 1852.
He came to America in 1862, with his parents. First living in Fillmore, where he resided for 22 years. He moved to Sevier Bridge, and then to Sterling.
Married Amelia Edwards on February 2nd. Daughter of Bishop and Mrs. Caleb Edwards, of Ephraim.
While resided at Sterling, he served as school trustee. Also gave Gunnison citizens
their first electric lights, running a line from Sterling to Gunnison during this time. In 1905, with his family, moved to Gunnison. He followed the vocation of farming and livestock raising, and he was active in politics.
Children: Daughters, Mrs. Joseph Dennison, Mrs. H. A. Anderson, Rigby, Idaho; Mrs. Carl T. Hoff, El Paso, Texas; Sons, M. D. Beauregard and Mina Beauregard.
Siblings: Charles Beauregard of California and Nelsen Beauregard of Fillmore; Mrs. Ted Davis and. Mrs. Orsen Huntsman, of Fillmore.
