John "Jack" Lee Redding
It is with great sadness that the passing of John Lee Redding is announced. He died in Torrance Memorial Hospital on December 17, 2013 with his loving wife and friends at his bedside. John was born on September 5, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, a member of 4 boys, all deceased. In his teens he served in the U.S. Army, being sent to Europe. On his return his family settled in the South Bay. Using his G.I. Bill, John was able to get his electronic engineering degree. During his career, John was employed by McDonald Douglas, North America and T.R.W. He retired on July 1992 from the latter. He married his loving English wife, Margaret in Santa Monica on Christmas Day 1959. For 54 years they have spent the happiest years together. He is survived by his loving wife. John was honest, hard working, God fearing and would give a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a member of three masonic societies. Interment at Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 S. Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes on Friday, Dec. 27th at 2pm with visitation the same day from 11am-1pm.
