Services were held Wednesday morning for William G. Franklin Jr., 44, who died of injuries in a one vehicle accident Friday night.
Franklin's daughter Cathy, 19, was injured in the crash.

Department of Public Safety officers said that Franklin's 1971 pickup was traveling east on highway 60 when the accident occurred about 6 miles west of Wickenburg at 11:15 p.m.

The truck apparently crossed the center line and struck and embankment, causing the vehicle to flip. It rolled several times, coming to rest on its wheels. An investigating officer said that seat belts were installed but not in use and might have prevented the fatality.

Cathy Franklin was treated for head injuries at the Wickenburg Community Hospital and transferred to St. Josephs Hospital in Phoenix. She was released Monday.

Bill Franklin has been a resident of Wickenburg for 30 years. He had been living in Aguila for the past few years.

He is survived by three son, Daniel, Joe and John and daughter Cathy; also two sisters, Mrs. Jim Montoya of Peoria and Mrs. Bob Douglas of Bagdad; one brother, Leonard Franklin of Phoenix.

Burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
