Gertrude (Leclerc) Brewer, 89, of Bedford, NH, died January 14, 2007 at Harborside Healthcare in Bedford. Born on April 3, 1917, in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Chatel) Leclerc. She was a resident of Manchester and Bedford for most of her life. At the time of her employment, Mrs. Brewer was the office manager for Jordan Marsh Company, in Bedford. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Members of her family include; 2 sons, Larry E. Brewer, of Wilmington, MA; Gary D. Brewer, of Bedford, NH; 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Henry Leclerc, of Hemet, CA; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Brewer, who died on March 6, 2001. Calling hours will be Thursday, from 4 – 8 P.M. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A funeral service will be Friday, in the funeral home chapel at 11 A.M. The Reverend Douglas Rickard, minister of First Presbyterian Church, will officiate the service. Spring burial will take place at Bedford Center Cemetery, in Bedford. Arrangements are under the direction of Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester.
