Viola J. Aaron, 83, Kokomo, passed away at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo. Viola was born Sept. 16, 1930, in Kokomo, to Ivan O. and Mattie H. (White) Rayl. She married Paul E. Aaron on Oct. 18, 1946, in Franklin, Ky., and he survives.

Viola retired from Delco Electronics in 1982 with 30 years of service. She was a member of UAW Local 292. She enjoyed puzzles and loved music, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Paul E. Aaron, Kokomo; son, Ed (Janet) Aaron, Kokomo; son, Greg (Joyce) Aaron, Kokomo; six grandchildren, Lori (Gary) Burns, Shane (Kristen) Aaron, Shawna (Brad) Cline, Elizabeth (Jon) Callane, Stephanie (Scott) McClelland, and Johanna (Justin) Moos; 15 great-grandchildren, Gary Burns Jr., Seth Burns, Abby Burns, Emma Aaron, Madalene Aaron, Brody Cline, Lillian Cline, Jon Callane Jr., Ellen Callane, Claire Callane, Anna Callane, Samantha McClelland, Mitchell McClelland, Alex McClelland and Austin Moos.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Private services will be held on Monday with the Rev. Lynn Coleman and the Rev. Keith Cramer officiating. Burial will follow in Galveston Cemetery. Donations can be made to a favorite charity. Murray Weaver Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
