The daughter of James J. Grennon/Grannon (1849-1907) and Catherine Wheeler (c1849-aft1883) she married Francis "Frank" Watson Bailey December 16th, 1894 at Chase Mills, St. Lawrence Co., NY.

Mrs. Tessie Elizabeth Grannon Bailey, 73, widow of Frank W. Bailey and resident of the town of Watson most of her life, died Friday in an Ogdensburg hospital where she had been a patient 17 months. She had suffered from diabetes and arteriosclerosis.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the Vickler funeral home here. Rev. Thomas J. Williams, pastor of the Lowville Methodist church officiated. Burial was in Sperryville cemetery.
Mrs. Bailey leaves two sons, Francis and George, both of Watson; three daughters, Mrs. Theodore (Lena) Shaw, Watson; Mrs. Leroy (Laura) Hulbert, New Brennan, and Mrs. George (Harriet) Cannan, Glenfield; a half sister, Mrs. William (Lena) Brown, Lowville; 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was born Dec. 24, 1876, at Woodstock, Ill., a daughter of James and Catherine Wheeler Grannan. The family moved to Carthage when she was an infant and several years later settled at Chases Lake.
In 1894 she was married to Mr. Bailey at Watson. The couple spent most of their married life on a farm at Sperryville. Mr. Bailey, for 17 years a fire observer at Beaver Lake mountain for the state conservation department, died Sept. 2, 1941.
Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Petries Corners Methodist church and the Petries Corners grange."
