A native of Salem, SC, Mr. Wigington was the son of the late Christine Elizabeth McCall, and Oscar Wigington. He was the owner/operator of Wigington, Inc. and was a member of Utica Baptist Church. Mr. Wigington was a former member of the School Board of Oconee County, Oconee Historical Society, and the Clemson University Pershing Rifles. He enjoyed collecting antique cars, crafting stained glass, and wine making.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Wigington is survived by five sons: Barry Wigington (Sherron) of Atlanta, GA, Kevin Wigington (Catherine) of Charlotte, NC, Kent Wigington (Sallie) of Seneca, SC, Brian Wigington (Sherry) of Seneca, SC, Brandon Sloan (Brandi)of Seneca, SC; two daughters: Shannon Villanueva (Mario) of Greenville, SC, Brantlee Porter (Jeffrey) of Seneca, SC; and twelve grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wigington was preceded in death by his first wife, Valeria Ray Wigington; and brother, Jerry Wigington.
