Jesse A. Stilwell, 96, of Waynesburg R. D. 1, Lippencott, died at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 1973 at his home after a six-week illness.

Born September 3, 1877 in Morgan Township, he was the son of George and Margaret Craig Stilwell, and was married August 28, 1912 to the former Pearl Crayne, who died May 6, 1963.

Mr. Stilwell was a retired farmer and stock dealer and was a lifetime resident of Jefferson and Morgan Township. He was a member of the Winnett Chapel Methodist Church.

Surviving are three sons, Paul Stilwell of Detroit, Mich.; Robert Stilwell of Jefferson; and Frank Stilwell of Waynesburg R. D. 1; five daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Jean Kozorra and Miss Lena J. Stilwell, both of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Martha Dulaney and Mrs. Francine Horn, both of Waynesburg; and Mrs. Charlene Yanak of Centerville; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lon L. Stilwell of Washington.

Two brothers, Frank and Charles; two sisters, Ann Swihart and Sophrona Stilwell; and a daughter, Margaret Ann, are deceased.
