Karen Jean Tagliente passed away on December 19, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer and multiple sclerosis.

She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on October 23, 1949 to William and Alice Thomas.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas; her sons, Michael and Anthony; and her brother, Jeffrey, and wife, Sherry. She was beloved by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well as her nieces and nephews.

Karen was a longtime and active parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church in Piermont and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was known for her kindness and charity and a willingness to help in whatever way she was able despite her illness. She will be dearly missed by all.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Church in Piermont.
Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery in Sparkill.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan.
