A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Hoover Daniel Jr. and Laurene Brooks Daniel.
Ms. Banks was a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill. She worked as a pharmacist for over 30 years.
She was survived by a daughter, Amanda Banks; sons Philip Banks, Jr., and Austin Banks; 2 grandchildren; and very close friend and the father of her children, Philip Pendleton Banks, Sr.
