"Funeral services for Barney John Walrath, aged eighty-one, of the Milford-Cherry Valley road, who died October 5th, in the Otsego county Hospital. Services were held at 2 o'clock Monday from the Brown & Tillapaugh Funeral Home. The Rev. Walter Miller, pastor of the Baptist church of Westville, officiated and interment was in South Valley cemetery.
Born in Pleasant Brook, he was the son of John and Sarah Darling Walrath. Most of his life had been passed on a farm in Milford township. Surviving are his wife, the former Minnie Westcott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Westcott of Milford; and a brother Abraham L Walrath of Cooperstown."
