Mrs. Baumgardner-MacKenzie was born Jan. 27, 1910, in Faith, S.D. Her maiden name was Millslagle. She moved to Portland in 1935 and was a homemaker and later a cost accountant for North Pacific Grain Growers for three years and then the U.S. Department of Agriculture for about nine years before her retirement in 1963. She was a member of Lents Baptist Church and Milwaukie Christian Church. In 1935, she married Robert Lee Baumgardner; he died in 1951. She married Murray John MacKenzie in 1954; he died in 1980.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon L. Frey-Hirata; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
Disposition is by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to the URS Club. Arrangements are by Hennessey, Goetsch & McGee. Oregonian, June 17, 2000
