Mr. Smith was born July 31, 1906 In Laneburg. Ark He was a retired iron worker and had been a Texas City resident for 30 years. He and his wife owned the Elite Lingerie Shop in Texas City, and he was a member of Iron Workers Local 135 of Texas City and Texas City Missionary Baptist Church
Survivors include his wife Mrs Fay Smith of Texas City a daughter. Mrs Carolyn Sharer of Texas City a Sister. Mrs Ivy Spencer of California. two brothers:-Ardis Smith of Texas City and Fred Smith of Garland. Texas and three grandchildren
