William Carter of North Star Succumbs in Memorial Hospital.
William Harvey Carter, 79, retired blacksmith formerly of this city but more recently of North Star, died at the Piqua Memorial Hospital at 5:30 o'clock this morning following several months’ illness which climaxed failing health of five years.
He was born In Darke County July 26, 1859, later moving to Piqua. His wife, Anna, preceded him in death 25 years ago.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dessa Minion of Columbus; three sons; Vernon of Dayton and Oscar and Glen, addresses unknown; and a brother, Henry of Piqua. Another brother, Louis Marion died a year ago.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the J. 0. Oron funeral home and burial is to be made In Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the Oron funeral home Wednesday afternoon and evening and Thursday until the hour of the funeral to pay last respects.
